Dues are due at the start of each semester; weekly payments can be arranged.

Dues paid on time help us meet our obligations.  See below for costs and ways to offset costs:

  • Choir Members dues are $50 per semester.
  • Additional family members’ dues are $25 per semester.
  • New members do not pay dues for their first season.
  • Scholarships are available for teen members.
  • Members are asked to sell 5 tickets to each concert.
    • Tickets are $8, choir members receive a credit of $3 for each ticket sold.
    • Members are free to sell for full price or pass on the $3 discount.

  • Music fees are included in the Dues.  In cases where we are using borrowed music, the music sheets must be kept in good condition and turned in at the end of each season.

  • We provide an after-concert dinner.  Many of our audience are senior citizens who look forward to a dinner after the concert.  We ask members to bring an item to the pot luck dinner and to stay to help clean-up after the concert.  Of course, the dinner is open to all.
  • We also do fundraising.  In the winter, we run a Yankee Candle sale.  In the spring and winter, we sell ads for our programs.  We may also run a fundraiser in spring, usually a dinner at Friendly's in Sussex.

Funding for Community Choral Society has been made available in part by the NJ State Council on the  Arts/ Department of State, a partner of the National Endowment for the Arts, through the State/County Partnership Block Grant Program, as administered by the Sussex County Arts & Heritage Council.
